  • Aikatsu on Parade Season 2: Renewal, Release Date & All Latest Updates

Fans of the popular anime have been asking about its return ever since its debut season came out. Aikatsu on Parade is one of those adaptations that came from a collectible card game. Some fans really liked this show and gave it a positive response. Now, they are demanding the renewal of Aikatsu on Parade Season 2. Has the studio renewed its sequel yet? Here are all the latest details.

Aikatsu on Parade is a Japanese music slice-of-life anime series. It is an adaptation of a collectible arcade card game of the same name. BN Studio picked up its story and animated the first season of the series. Moreover, the premiere of this anime aired on October 5, 2019. It ran for a total of 25 episodes before ending on March 28, 2020.

    Aikatsu on Parade Season 2

    Aikatsu on Parade Anime Review

The fans of this unique card game had a very high expectation from the anime. However, the series failed to fulfill it. Let’s start with its storyline. Since the production company created it based on a card game, it was kind of obvious that the adaptation wouldn’t be a masterpiece. But fans expected it to be a bit more unique and engaging, at the least. In the end, it was just another average storyline and a lot of plotholes.

Its characters were also average, and most of them were actually annoying. Aikatsu on Parade did have some good visuals, and its art style was also good. Besides, BN Pictures did a fine job in animating this show. Overall, the series is not horrible, but it is not very great as well.

Aikatsu on Parade Season 2: Renewal Status

The inaugural installment of the anime received a mixed response from the viewers as well as the critics. The latter praised several elements of this show but criticized it for its flaws too. At the time of writing, the anime has a score of 6.87 on MyAnimeList. However, unlike the ratings, the popularity of this series is quite low. It doesn’t even have a total of 5,000 members in its MAL group. It seems like the majority of the fan-following of this show is of the people who followed the card game.

Also, the debut season of the anime ended on a conclusive note and left no space for Aikatsu on Parade Season 2Therefore, now it is likely that the makers won’t renew the series for its sequel. Its low popularity and end of the storyline might become the main reason behind its cancellation.

    Aikatsu on Parade Season 2

Aikatsu on Parade Season 2: Release Date

The possibility for this show to return is very low. In case the production company decides to renew it, we will let you know. Well, if the green flag arrives sooner this year, fans can expect Aikatsu on Parade Season 2 to release sometime in 2023. Do you want this anime to return? Tell us in the comments.

It is the remake of Osamu Nishi’s manga series of the very title. Bandai Namco Pictures picked up the manga and produced its anime adaptation that made its debut on October 5, 2019. The second season of the series recently premiered on April 17, 2021, and is scheduled to run for a total of 21 episodes.

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 3

    Mairimashita Manga Compared To Anime

The debut season of the anime followed the manga very closely, and its pacing was also perfect. The first season adopted a total of 43 chapters and found its stopping point at the 6th volume. Whereas, the second one began with a recap that features some content from the 44th chapter.

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 2 Episode 2 increased the pacing and adopted three chapters. In the eleventh episode, fans saw the conclusion of the final exams story arc. So, by the looks of its pacing, it seems like the second season will use the manga’s content till the 88th chapter. The 93rd chapter of Volume 11 is also a great stopping point. Now, we have to wait and see when and where the story of the anime’s second season concludes.
