Right after the release of this show, many fans compared it with a series like Sherlock Holmes. Unfortunately, it is certainly not Sherlock Holmes, but the MC of this show definitely has some similar traits. Some viewers find its initial episode to be boring as they were building a narrative. But the last few episodes of Woodpecker Detective’s Office were a hit. It was more of a character-based story, but the makers portrayed its detective side.

The characters were mediocre, but the MC was comparatively good and has more depth. However, the story is a little sloppy, and most of the cases Takuboku worked on were boring. The viewers had to dig through a lot of fillers to reach the main interesting story of this show. If it wasn’t for these dull filler stories, Kitsutsuki Tanteidokoro had the potential to become one of the greatest detective shows. 

Woodpecker Detective’s Office Season 2: Renewal Status!

The inaugural installment of the anime received a mixed response from the viewers as well as the critics. However, some of the fans really liked the series because of the last few episodes. But those episodes weren’t able to save the anime from getting an average rating. Currently, it has a score of 6.06 on MyAnimeList, which is very low for a genre as popular as mystery drama. The show has some fans, but it is not very popular and only has 22K members in its MAL group.

On top of that, Liden Films already adopted the ending of the novel series in the anime and ended the twelfth episode on a decisive note. Therefore, now it is unlikely for the officials to renew Woodpecker Detective’s Office Season 2. However, it is not impossible, and if the popularity of this show increases with time, the makers might be willing to give it another shot.

Its comedic elements are also great. Rinshi!! Ekoda-Chan became a fun-to-watch show soon after its premiere. The animation is average, but its art style is quite appealing. However, this anime is not for everyone and only has a limited set of audience. Overall, the series is good, and the great thing about it is that it doesn’t bore the audience.

The debut installment of this show got a mixed response from the audience. The critical reception of the series is kind of poor. At the time of writing, it has a score of 5.53 on MyAnimeList. The series isn’t that popular either, as it only has 9K members in its MAL group. The only good thing is that the production studio still has some content left for Rinshi!! Ekoda-Chan Season 2.

However, its low ratings and moderate popularity might be a trouble for its future. It is likely that the producers won’t invest in the short-anime series again, especially after the poor performance of its opening season.

The Misfit Of Demon King Academy Season 2: Renewal Status & Production Details

The production studio teased the second season of the anime in February this year. After a few days, they officially announced it on March 6, 2021. Aniplex USA made this news official by posting a tweet, and then Crunchyroll followed their lead and posted this news on their Twitter handle as well. Well, this news wasn’t shocking at all for the fans as they were anticipating it already. The inaugural installment performed really well and managed to get a lot of fans.

In fact, it is even ranked at #341 in popularity on MyAnimeList and has more than 448K members in its MAL group. As a result, it was kind of obvious for the series to get an early renewal. The production of The Misfit Of Demon King Academy Season 2 already began in March this year, right after its announcement. Light Novel Compared To The Anime

When the LN series began to serialize, a lot of critics claimed that the series heavily relies on the typical analogies of magical high school harem series. Some even called this series trash, but it still received a great response from the remaining set of the audience. The light novel series is still running successfully, and the authors have published a total of nine volumes so far. Studio Silver Link compressed a lot of content while adapting to the anime. They even skipped some important chapters in the middle episodes.

The good thing is that it didn’t have any significant impact on its storyline. Maou Gakuen no Futekigousha’s debut season used the first three volumes of the LN series. Thus, The Misfit Of Demon King Academy Season 2 will begin by adopting the first part of its fourth volume. Silver Link studio still has a lot of source material. Also, since the second season of the anime will be a split-cour, it will likely use at least five books this time.

Soon after, the identity of the fake Demon King came out. As a result, Anos investigated even further in this case. Now, he will travel 2,000 years back in time in order to discover the birth of the Great Spirit and undo everything done by Nousgalia.

When the makers renewed the anime for its second season earlier this year, they didn’t reveal anything about its release window. The production of this show will take a lot of time, so it likely won’t premiere this year. Piano no Mori Manga Compared To The Anime

Makoto Isshiki, the author of the manga series, worked on it for a total of seventeen years. Kodansha began the serialization of Piano no Mori way back in 1998. It ran till November 5, 2015, and ended after releasing a total of 26 volumes. The Gaina studio picked up the source material for the anime adaptation. However, they condensed its story way too much. The pacing of both the installments was very fast.

They adopted the content till the sixth book of the manga and then skipped all the chapters in the middle. But the second installment of the anime did adapt to the original ending of the manga series. As a result, now they have nothing left to continue the story in Forest of Piano Season 3. The studio can still use all the skipped volumes, but now it will be challenging because they already featured the story’s ending.

Both the previous installments of the anime were pretty decent and got a positive response from everyone. The fans, as well as the critics, praised the show for its content alike. Its first two seasons have a score of 7.31 and 7.40 on MyAnimeList, respectively. The show is quite popular too and has a massive fan following. All of them want to see Forest of Piano Season 3 and are demanding its renewal.

However, as previously mentioned, the production studio already adopted the manga’s ending in the second season and concluded it without leaving any open rooms for its continuation.
