However, in the first season, the makers skipped a lot of chapters. So, if they use those chapters, the production studio can easily make Gakuen Babysitters Season 2. Since the manga series is still running, they will continue to get more content in the future.

The inaugural season of School Babysitters met with a positive critical reception. Its viewership and ratings were also great. The show has a solid score of 7.85 on MyAnimeList as well. Director Shingo Natsume will be joined by a bunch of talented crew members to create this anime. Whereas, for the animation of this series, Kugai Norifumi has taken the command. Moreover, the original manga artist Hisashi Eguchi will also be joining the animation team. Eguchi is famous for his contributions to the character design of the critically-acclaimed anime film Perfect Blue.

Mari Fujino, famously known for his works in Dororo, will join the show as its art director. Moreover, Akane Fushihara will also be there in the role of director of photography. He is famous for his contributions to Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card and One-Punch Man. On the other hand, the sound director of Vinland Saga, Great Pretender, Fairy Tail will also join the team for this one.

Release Date

For now, a solid release date has not been announced by the makers yet. However, we do know that the show will be releasing this year itself. The viewers saw its premiere on July 2, 2017, while its finale aired on September 24, 2017. Even after three and a half years, fans of the television anime are still waiting for its sequel.

Knights And Magic Season 2: Canceled Or Renewed? 

The anime went on a long hiatus after airing its first season. During the past few years, a lot of rumors regarding the sequel surfaced online. However, they ended up only as rumors. The inaugural season was like a treat for the viewers, especially those who like to watch fantasy mecha series. So, it is kind of obvious that they are getting desperate to see its second season. But the makers are still silent about the show’s future. They have neither canceled nor renewed Knights And Magic Season 2 so far. Is There Enough Source Material For A Sequel? 

As we mentioned above, the anime is based on an LN series. Therefore, it is important to have enough content in order to make the sequel. The serialization of the Naitsu no Majikku light novel began on October 16, 2010, and it is still in the run. So far, the author has published a total of nine books so far. However, the last one came out back in 2018. The production studio used seven volumes for creating the plot of the anime’s debut season. Therefore, now Studio 8 Bit only has two volumes left to create Knights And Magic Season 2. It is definitely not enough for them now. So, it is likely that they have to wait for Hisago to publish more volumes.

The story of this anime revolves around Tsubasa Kurata. He is a software engineer and a die-hard mecha otaku. However, he lost his life in a car accident. Yet, his journey didn’t end here. He was later reborn as Ernesti ‘Eru’ Echavalier in the fantastical Fremmevilla Kingdom. It is a place where silhouette knights battle terrible creatures known as Demon Beasts. Ernest enrolled in a magical school where he learned to face trouble both inside and outside the kingdom. Adeltrud Olter and her brother, Archid, joined Ernest in his quest to pilot a silhouette knight of his own creation.

Knights And Magic Season 2: Will There Be A Sequel? 

The first season of this show got a tremendous response from the viewers. The critics praised it as well. Besides, it managed to get an impressive score of 7.12 on MAL. Despite being on a hiatus for more than three years, the demand for the sequel is still quite high. However, the main reason behind this delay is the lack of its source material. 8Bit Studio doesn’t have enough content to make Knights And Magic Season 2. Will There Be A Season 5?

In an interview with Collider, shoemaker Ellis and executive producer Kevin Kolde revealed the show’s future. To this, Kolde said that he is not really sure where they would go from here. Hence, he goes on to say that by the end of Season 3, the story was at a very different place than what the viewers think. Well, the third season apparently began with new hope and a new beginning. The audience thought that everything’s going to be great and happy. However, this is when Warren pulled the rug out from under them, and everything changed. It’s quite an uncertain statement from the maker of the show. But it does suggest that, if given a chance, the show might be revived for further seasons.

Shunsuke Kikuchi, who was the composer for the popular Dragon Ball anime series, passed away on Saturday. He was admitted to a medical facility in Tokyo at the time of his demise. The Japanese music industry outlet Oricon News broke the news to the world. According to Oricon, 89-year-old Kikuchi was going through medical treatment for pneumonia.

It is sad news that the legend who gave us the classic soundtrack of Dragon Ball has left the world so early. The well-known composer began his career back in the 1960s. For more than five decades, he had been gifting the world with his talent. The first-ever film that he worked on was the 1961 film “The Eighth Enemy.” Later, he composed music and theme songs for several anime TV series.

Dragon Ball Composer Shunsuke Kikuchi

The popular Japanese anime “Dragon Ball,” produced by Toei Animation, first premiered in 1986. It was Kikuchi who gave his music to this cult series. The show’s theme song gained massive popularity all over the world. Seeing the popularity of his music, the company hired him again for the second season as well. Hence, he joined the sequel series “Dragon Ball Z” in 1989. He even worked on the remastered series called the “Dragon Ball Z Kai” and composed the music for its episodes.

Kikuchi composed a total of 23 packages of music for the Dragon Ball series, including the sequel show Dragon Ball Z. This was a total of over 400 different pieces of music. On the other hand, the legendary composer is also known to be the creator of the classic theme for the Doraemon series.

Shunsuke Kikuchi: Other Renowned Works

Over the five decades of his career, Kikuchi worked on plenty of anime and TV drama series. He worked with several productions, movies, and television shows. However, his first rise to prominence came in the 1960s when he made a professional debut as a composer for the popular film The Eighth Enemy. Later, as his career progressed, he earned worldwide recognition for his contributions to the Dragon Ball franchise.

Besides Dragon Ball, Shunsuke Kikuchi worked on several other remarkable projects. Some of his other composing credits include the names like “The Unfettered Shogun,” the theme song for “Doraemon,” “Masked Rider,” “Tiger Mask,” “Gaiking,” “Tōshō Daimos,” “Dr. Slump” and many more. Kikuchi later decided to get retired in 2017 due to his health conditions.

Accolades And Condolences

Overlook Events paid tribute to Kikuchi on Twitter. The production company is behind all the concerts that feature the music of “Dragon Ball.” These concerts also include composers like John Williams and Ennio Morricone. Everyone who has ever worked with him paid their condolences for the lost legend. The company wrote on Twitter, “Our work and concerts are dedicated to him from the beginning.”

Shunsuke Kikuchi has a nomination in his name for the Japan Academy Award for outstanding music in 1983. This was for his work on “The Gate of Youth” and “To Trap a Kidnapper.” Besides, he also earned the award of merit at the Tokyo Anime Awards in 2013. Not to mention, a lifetime Japan Record Award was also named under his work for distinguished service in 2015.
