This time, the studio tier of the streaming service is bringing a popular Superhero from the Philippines to a world stage- Trese. Netflix is all set to create its own anime adaptation of the popular story of Trese.

The story originated from a popular manga from Filipino Komik that is written by Budjette Tan and created by Kajo Baldisimo. The story is based on the themes of horror and crime thrillers. The manga started serialization back in 2005, and the story still continues to follow. Trese has over 13 main volumes along with nine collectors’ editions. So, what is Netflix up to? The small clip begins with a city under fear of mysterious creatures. Now, Alexandra Trese, who is an investigator, must find out who is behind these killings. According to the official synopsis, the plot of Trese anime is set in the land of Manila, where strange killings are happening. Now, detective Alexandra Trese must look for the beings that are behind the murders. But she comes across a network of underworld creatures that are on a bigger mission. Cast Reveal

Along with the trailer, both English and Filipino cast names were revealed. We will take a look at the cast that will be dubbing the English version. For the titular role of Alexandra Trese, Shay Mitchell will be joining the team. Additionally, Griffith Puatu is cast for the role of The Kambal.
