Not Abandoned By The Studio!

Starting with Trinity Seven The Movie, The Eternal Library, and The Alchemist Girl, the next film in 2019 was Trinity Seven Heavens Library & Crimson Lord had the second release. This confirms the idea that Seven Arcs studio has not completely abandoned the project.

Is There Enough Source Material?

The popular anime is adapted from a harem manga of the same name. Better known as Toriniti Sebun, the manga first released its chapter in December 2010. Written by Kenji Saito, the text is illustrated by Akinari Nao. As of 2023, 28 volumes of the text have come out. And the first season of 12 episodes ended up using only the first thirty chapters of the manga. And this confirms the fact that there is more than enough material left in the public domain to get a new season.

In fact, there is material left for three seasons to come in the future. In addition to this, there also is a spin-off manga under the name of Trinity Seven Levi Ninden that came out in 2015. Not only this, there might as well be some more anime series that are to come in the near future.

The overall plot of Trinity Seven revolves around the life of a normal high school student who has been dealing with his illusions of the world. He learns that he has been living in a world of illusion all this while. But the day that this illusion breaks, everything soon turns upside down. The dissection of the real and the fake world is something that has changed a lot of things and relations for him. Along with his cousin’s sister Hijiri Kasuga, he now wants to save his real sister from the other world.

The rest of the season deals with the travel to the otherworld and the hunt for his sister. And thus enters the concept of Trinity Seven, a team of seven soldiers who have been working in order to protect the world order to bring the world back to normalcy again. The concepts of magic, superpowers, and otherworldly beings are also introduced in the story. And as the season comes to an end, we see in the episode titled “Criminal Girl and His World” the battle comes to an end.

And the battle ends with Arata meeting with Lilith in order to visit the city and keep an eye on how everything is going back to normal. Yui, Selina, and Levi also follow these people so as to keep an eye on them. The day rests, and everyone else appreciates Arata for his actions. And now, Trinity Seven Season 2 shall open with the fights unfolding one after the other. The world now has gone through a big trauma, and the traces of it shall still haunt them all.

The first episode of Devilman Crybaby was released on January 5, 2018. Netflix released all ten of the episodes in one go.
