Recently, Tatsuya Matsumoto, aka Tatsuya Matsuki, author of the famous Act-Age manga arrested for groping two schoolgirls in the same night. Both incidents took place between the gap of an hour. And Tatsuya also confessed that he was the culprit in both of them. In relation to the charges, the author said, “There is no mistake.”

The government is yet to decide the legal punishment of Tatsuya. However, Shueisha, who publishes Act-Age manga in Weekly Jump Magzine, terminated him and made clear that they will not welcome him back. On August 10, 2020, Weekly Shonen Jump Magzine also released a statement regarding this case. On their Twitter handle, Shonen Jump posted a formal notice for the cancelation of the serialization of the manga. It reads,

On August 8, police arrested Tatsuya Matsuki, the original creator of Act-Age.
Our managing editorial department recognizes the severity of what transpired, has confirmed the details of the incident that led to the arrest, and discussed the situation with the manga artist Shiro Usazaki. Following this, we have judged that it is not possible to continue serializing Act-Age.
As of the August 11 combined Volume 26/37 of Weekly Shonen Jump, we will end the serialization of Act-Age.
We wish to sincerely apologize for the anguish and distress that has been caused.
