The manga will continue the heated battle between Rin and his father. Fans of the manga series were delighted to hear the news. Kazue Kato first wrote Blue Exorcist as a one-shot chapter. The one-shot was published in Jump Square magazine in September 2008. Soon, the publisher began serializing the manga in April 2009. The manga gained fame and recognition for its unique storyline and comedy. As of now, the series released twenty-six volumes. It inspired an anime television series, spin-off manga series, an anime film, and many stage plays.

Blue Exorcist Manga Return Delayed?

In an announcement in July 2021, Jump Square magazine revealed that Blue Exorcist manga would go on an eight-month hiatus. The manga was put on hiatus as author Kazue Kato was working on another project during that time. The author did not want to feel overstressed from working on two manga at the same time. So, she put Blue Exorcist on break. The manga was supposed to resume in the April 2022 issue of Jump Square magazine but will experience a delay. 

The recent March Issue of Jump Square magazine has announced that it will resume printing Blue Exorcist manga shortly. However, it will not resume in the expected April issue. The series will experience a slight delay and will return at a later date. he announcement included a release date for the next issue of the manga. 

What Will Happen Next?

Blue Exorcist is a dark fantasy manga series. The series follows the story of Rin Okumura. The story follows Rin as he swears revenge on Satan after killing Father Shiro. Father Shiro is an exorcist who raises Rin and his twin brother. Rin finds out they are both sons of Satan. The death of Father Shiro stirs something inside Rin, activating the powers that he got from his father. Rin applies to True Cross Academy, a school for exorcists. 

The manga is currently in the ‘Of One Cloth’ arc. It went on hiatus after the release of chapter 132, ‘Eruption’. The chapter ended with the climactic battle between Rin and his father, Satan. The next chapters will continue the fight between the father and son. After all the characters pitched in the battle and helped Rin, he was able to face Satan finally. However, whether he will finally exact his revenge is still unknown. 

Blue Exorcist Manga: Release Date!
