Two promo videos of the popular anime, Revenger were already out on the Internet. But they gave no clue about the cast, story writer, or ending theme. However, the new teaser has revealed the main staff, release date, and other details. Famous Fate/Zero writer Urobuchi will plan the storyline. You may know his other popular anime series, which include Psycho-pass, Madoka Magica, and Saya No Uta. Apart from that, Mayasa is directing the anime.

Earlier, he helmed Kemono Jihen, another popular show. Suzuki and Yuushi are the character designers. Naomi Nakano is the color designer. As of now, she is working for Chainsaw Man Anime. On the music front, Jun is the composer. While Maaya sang the ending theme ‘u_mute’. The series’ main stars are Raizo Kurima, Usui, Nio, Soji, and Teppa.

What Is The Anime About?

We receive a vague sense of retribution from the anime’s title, Revenger. The hero, Raizo, kills people to escape some cruel fate that awaits him. The latest teaser also reveals details about his sense of justice. As he seeks his revenge, he reflects on his actions. Thus, what truth will he seek as he continues? 

Raizo joins a secret group that takes revenge on common people’s behalf who have no power. From the outside, their group disguises itself as a normal store. Raizo works with five other people. A Quick Recap!

The title of Bleach Season 17 Episode 7 was ‘Born In The Dark’. The scene started off with a glimpse of the initial battle between Soul Society and Quincy. It was the origin of thousand year Blood War. And Sasakibe was the one who killed Yhwach. The plot then picked up with the battle of Episode 6. Yhwach managed to slice Yamamoto in half. Every so often, the rain seemed to slow down, and the sound faded. This effect created a moment in time that felt almost serene. Yet it showcased a dreadfully depressing sight.

Yhwach then ordered his Quincy foot soldiers to slaughter every last of the Soul Reapers. Meanwhile, Ichigo finally managed to break out of jail. He quickly met with Byakuya, who was at death’s door. Ichigo confirmed to him that Rukia and Renji were still alive. Unable to breathe any longer, Byakuya said his final words to Ichigo. The sword finally dropped from his hand and dissipated. Furious, Ichigo darted off and finally confronted Yhwach to square off. Sadly, all the odds were against him. Yhwach had the upper hand in the battle.

He came down on Ichigo and stabbed him right in the neck. But Ichigo managed to survive this clean strike. Yhwach decided to drop his sword down. He realized Ichigo was using the Quincy technique, Blood Vein. He figured that Ichigo may have managed to awaken his spiritual memories while in jail. Seeing this, Yhwach was in shock. He decided to retreat for now and told Ichigo they would meet soon. The episode ended with Ichigo calling him his son, born in the dark.

Bleach Season 17 Episode 8: New Release Date

The official page of Bleach TYBW announced a delay in the release of Bleach Season 17 Episode 8 on November 25, 2022. Originally it was supposed to come out on November 28, 2022. Sadly, the makers have pushed out both Episode 8 and 9 to December 12, 2022. Studio Pierrot hasn’t disclosed the issue for the delay. But fans are curious to know the reason. The official Twitter Account for Hikari No Ou Anime released the premiere date for the series. There has also been a release on the first full promotional video. Other details, like the cast members, were announced back in October. A teaser for the series has also already been released. The series is set to premiere on the WOWOW premium satellite network.

Plot & Staff Details

The anime’s story revolves around an Earth full of the black forest. The people of this post-apocalyptic world are infected with a pathogen that causes their bodies to burn whenever they are around a natural fire. There are also tales of a Firecatcher Lord among the people who have survived the last war of humanity. The two main protagonists are Touko, a girl who grew up in a village. There is also Koushi, a former student in a capital city. The main characters should not meet but this encounter of theirs completely changes the world’s fate. Junji Nishimura will be directing Hikari No Ou Anime.

Mamoru Oshii will also be overseeing and writing the series. A total of 16 cast members were also announced. Kenji Kawai will be responsible for the music. Takuya Saito will be handling the character designs. Misaki Kuno will be voicing the main character, Touko. Shoya Ishige will be playing the character of Koshi. Maaya Sakamoto and Yoshimasa Hosoya will also be part of the cast. Saori Hayami and Megumi Yamaguchi will also be voicing the characters of Kira and Hinako.

Hikari No Ou Anime: Release Date

The makers did update the final release slate for the show. So, the anime series will be premiering in January 2023.
