  • Re: Zero Season 3 Episode 1 Is Set To Premiere On October 2!

After the two successful seasons, the hit Isekai series Re: Zero returns with another jaw-dropping season. That’s right! Re: Zero Season 3, the highly anticipated season is on the cards. Finally, after four years of waiting, the anime returns to enchant its fans with magic and excellent narration. Despite that, things aren’t in the Isekai anime’s favor. Although the series is gearing up for its return, the anime has faced major setbacks due to some undisclosed circumstances. So, does it mean the third installment won’t be out this year? Let’s find out.

Based on the Japanese web novel Re: Zero, it centers on Subaru Natsuki’s ability to turn back time after he dies. After suddenly being summoned to a fantasy-like world, Subaru learns about his magical power. That further helps him save his young half-elf friend, Emilia, who is the candidate for the next ruler of the Lugunica Kingdom. After saving her life, Subaru starts living in the palace to help Emilia achieve her goal. During this time, he also assists his new friends while carrying the memory of everything that happened before his death.

Re: Zero Season 3 Is Officially Back

Finally, after four years of waiting, Kadokawa made the surprising announcement regarding Re: Zero Season 3 release date. One of the popular isekai series is finally returning to claim its throne. The third season was announced on March 23, 2024, at AnimeJapan Expo. The series renewal news is confirmed via a short teaser trailer. The 2-minute long teaser trailer begins with a bandaged-covered woman introducing herself as Sin Archbishop of the Witch Cult named Sirius Romanee-Conti.

Shortly after, the scene shifted to Subaru Natsuki and his half-elf friend heading to a new and unfamiliar place. The teaser trailer suggests that the pair will be followed by their friend and meet a group of new people on their journey. It also highlights new characters and how they could help Subaru Natsuki. While little detail is unveiled at this moment, Re: Zero Season 3 will make a grand return. That’s because the third season’s first episode will be a 90-minute special episode.

Well, it has now become a trend in anime to release the first episode in theatres. Likewise, Re: Zero Season 3 release date for Episode 1 will be August 30, 2024, and will remain there for two weeks. In addition, it was also revealed that the screening of the first episode will take place at AnimeExpo 2024 on July 7, 2024. After Oshi No Ko‘s successful theatre release, Re: Zero is expected to meet with the same excitement.

Crunchyroll Pulled Its Special Screening Of Re: Zero Season 3 Episode 1

It was announced that the hour-long special episode would be first screened at Japan Expo Paris 2024. However, it was canceled from its schedule due to some undisclosed circumstances. Crunchyroll’s official French X posted an update about the screening of the first episode of Re: Zero Season 3. The anime streaming giant wrote, “Unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control,” they were forced to cancel the screening of the third season’s first episode. However, the rest of the screening and events would remain the same.

Re: Zero Season 3 Episode 1 release date
    Crunchyroll/ Emilia

Crunchyroll also apologized for the situation. Japan Expo, which was hosted in Paris from July 11-14, 2024, was the largest Japanese cultural convention. This year, the Expo hosted 680 cultural events, and hundreds of exhibitors participated. The anime streaming giant released the schedule on July 10, and Re: Zero—Starting Life in Another World was the surprise addition to the Expo. However, just a day before the screening of the first episode, it was abruptly canceled.

While the reason remained unclear, many believed it was the recent Tower of God Episode 2 leak, which was screened at Anime Expo 2024. The leaked episode was uploaded to several torrent sites with Anime Expo 2024 watermark. This might be the reason behind Re: Zero Season 3 Episode 1’s screening cancelation. Kodakowa, the publisher behind the anime, has already been a victim of a major data leak. That’s why the anime studio White Fox has decided not to spoil the anime.

Crunchyroll Is Ready To Take Action

Despite the screening cancelation of the first episode of Re: Zero Season 3, the anime faced a dark fate. The series’ first episode was leaked, and it remained unclear how this leak happened. In the wake of the recent leak, a Crunchyroll spokesperson commented that they are aware of the content leak and are currently investigating to identify the source of this leak. The anime streaming giant confirmed that their team is ready to act.

Re: Zero Season 3 Leak images and updates

Last week was a complete shocker for the anime industry. Dozens of anime titles were leaked online, including SpongeBob spinoff Plankton: The Movie, Dan Da Dan, Arcane Season 2, and Terminator Zero. Re: Zero isn’t the only leak; several high-profile Crunchyroll animes have faced a dark fate. In fact, Netflix is also suffering from security breach issues. The team has already revealed that they are actively investigating the matter.

Re: Zero Season 3: New Trailer Out

Re: Zero Season 3 is gearing up for its return despite being leaked. During AnimeJapan 2024, the much anticipated third season released its new trailer. It teases the looming battle on the horizon. While the protagonist and his friends head to the new land, the reunion brings new characters and different storylines to the table. In addition, the teaser also hints at new foes and the battle between some powerful characters. However, the teaser also hints at Natsuki’s dark fate. Will he die once again?

Besides her soothing voice, Liliana is a high-spirited girl who wishes to sing a new heroic tale.

That’s why she asks Subaru about the defeat of the Three Mabeasts and the Sin Archbishop of the Witch Cult. Another character named Capella Emerada will join Re: Zero Season 3. However, her voice actress has yet to be revealed. Further, Konomi Suzuki will be performing the opening theme song of Re: Zero Season 3 titled “Reweave.” Meanwhile, MYTH & ROID will perform the ending theme titled “NOX LUX.”

What To Expect From Re: Zero Season 3?

The third season will witness a time skip. Following the liberation of the Sanctuary in the second season, the Royal Selection will begin. Emilia’s Camp is working towards the King’s Selection after the battle against the Great Rabbit is over. However, Natsuki Subaru’s days of having fun will be over after an invitation letter from a messenger hints at the end of the peace and the beginning of the new battle.

It’s a letter from Anastasia inviting Emilia to the Five Major Cities of Lungunica—the floodgate city of Pristella. Although Emilia accepts the offer and heads to Pristella, things won’t be in her favor. Some unexpected dark fate has yet to come. Evil intentions lurk around the corner, and soon, things will take a dark turn, leaving Natsuki once again fighting for his stance. In Re: Zero Season 3, Subaru will also explore the depth of his psyche and the consequences of his decisions.

Re: Zero Season 3 expected plot details
    Crunchyroll

Re: Zero Season 3 is expected to explore Arcs 5 and 6 of the light novel series, featuring Priestella and the Pleiades Watchtower. Since the arcs are quite important, at least a four-cour adaptation is needed to give them justice. Considering this, there’s a possibility that the third season will be divided into two cours of a total of 40 episodes. So far, the anime has remained true to its source material, adapting Volumes 1 to 15 of the web novel. Since the series is ongoing, we expect it to run for more seasons.

Re: Zero Season 3 Release Date

Despite facing a dark fate, Re: Zero is ready to take its throne. The series is gearing up for its fall 2024 release. The official announcement says Re: Zero Season 3 will be released in two parts. The first part, “Shugeki-hen,” will be aired on October 2, 2024. Meanwhile, the second part, “Hangeki-hen,” will be aired in February 2025. In addition, the first episode of the first part will be 90 minutes long. That’s not all! We have some big news for you. • Overlord Season 5: Will Not Return This Year! Know Why?

Since Overlord debuted back in 2015, it has been making waves in the entertainment world. However, it’s been almost two years, and we haven’t learned anything about Overlord Season 5 release date. Is it still on the cards? While the chances for the future installment remain scarce, the light novel author has hinted at the future of the series. Does it mean the author is planning to return with more seasons? Curious to know? Then, keep reading!

Based on a Japanese light novel by Kugane Maruyama, Overlord is set in 2126. The anime focuses on a role-playing game called YGGDRASIL. After the game was shut down, the protagonist, a skeletal Lich “Overlord” character’s player, got trapped inside the game. With nowhere to be gone, Momonga decided to search for other members to uncover the mystery surrounding the game. Amid this, Momonga had to protect Nazarick and continue his guild, Ainz Ooal Gown.

Overlord Season 5: Renewed Or Canceled?

Die-hard fans have been looking forward to the next season of Overlord since the anime’s fourth season ended in 2022. It’s been almost two years, and we haven’t heard anything about Overlord Season 5. This further led many to conclude that the production house and the author aren’t planning to return with the fifth season of Overlord. However, Crunchyroll hasn’t confirmed that the series has been canceled. Instead, considering the author’s statement, it seems like the anime series has been shelved.

As per a Reddit thread, the manga series author Kagune Maruyama revealed in a press conference that the chances of Overlord Season 5 are slim. According to the user, the author is dissatisfied with the English dub, which led him to make a bold decision. Maruyama expressed that the English dub had ruined the nature of the anime. While the decision behind the renewal has remained under wraps, the series author’s stance against dubbing hints at the dark fate of the series.

Many also believe that the author’s decision to end the anime with four seasons is relevant, considering the quality of the English dub. While Overlord Season 5’s release date remains unclear, another user suggests that the anime has been canceled. That’s because the anime industry is known for leaving its series unfinished. This might be the case with Overlord as well. However, nothing is written on stone yet. So, we expect Crunchyroll or Madhouse Studio to make an official announcement sooner or later.

Author’s Financial Condition To Be Blamed

Since the Reddit user revealed that Maruyama isn’t planning to return with the future installment, a fierce debate is ongoing. In the heat of the debate, another user revealed that the author has planned to return with Overlord Season 5. However, his decision faced a grim fate. The Reddit user clarified that the author has nothing to do with the English dub of the anime. Instead he was concerned about the circulation of his light novel.

Maruyama expressed his concerns on X, formerly known as Twitter, not at a press conference. It’s become challenging for the author to publish his last two light novels as the English translations aren’t official. Sometimes, unauthorized translations lead to delays or financial loss from authors and publishers. This might be the reason why Maruyama isn’t looking forward to returning with the next volume. However, his fans are willing to support him by buying the original volumes. Despite that, the chances of Overlord Season 5 seem slim.

Initially Envisioned For Two More Seasons

In May 2016, Kugane Maruyama tweeted on his official X account that Overlord would be completed in 18 volumes. Although he didn’t share much about the future installments, the author posted that he’s hopeful about finishing the gritty dark fantasy light novel series with 18 volumes—only if KADOKAWA allows it to be published. However, the author also expressed concern about its unauthorized translation, sharing that it could destroy his work.

Overlord Season 5: When Will Production Begin?

As of now, nothing is known about the series’ production. The anime has yet to be greenlit, which means the production will take time to begin. If the series is renewed this year, we can expect it to undergo production later this year. However, nothing is crystal clear at this moment. As for the studio house behind the anime, Madhouse is working on Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Trillion Game, and Orb: On the Movements of the Earth.

Overlord Season 5 Production house and status
    Crunchyroll

Since Madhouse animates three to four animes annually, it doesn’t seem like it will return with Overlord Season 5 sooner. The studio house was founded in 1972 by ex-Mushi Pro staff. Since then, it has created several marvelous animes, films, and OVAs. Some of them are Death Note, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Hunter X Hunter, and more.

Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom Anime Film Announced

While fans have been waiting for Overlord Season 5 release date, the studio house confirmed the series will get its film adaptation. The anime film was announced back in October 2021, revealing it is set to come to theaters in Japan in 2024. Surprisingly, in late March of 2024, KADOKAWA released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming movie Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom. The 1-minute teaser trailer begins with the knights bowing in front of the Sacred Queen.

The scene quickly shifts to the battlefield, teasing the Roeble Sacred Kingdom, a small country under invasion. As the trailer unfolds, it hints at the looming battle. Now, it remains to be seen which side will win: the demon and undead or the sacred kingdom. While it’s just the beginning of the gruesome war, the trailer ending hints at the Sacred King’s dark fate. Will he die in the end? Enjoy the trailer below.

In addition to the trailer, Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom has also revealed the cast details. As per the official announcement, Yoshi Aoyama will voice Neia, Haruka Tomatsu will voice Kelart, Saori Hayami will voice Calca, and Hitomi Nabatame will voice Remedios.

Overlord Season 5: What Might Have Happened?

As of now, it remains unclear when the series will get its fifth season. However, since the series is an adaptation of the light novel by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by So-bin, we believe it will explore the final arc. The light novel started serializing in 2010 and is currently ongoing. It has 16 volumes, and so far, the anime has covered up to Volume 11. As for the anime film, Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom is set to cover Volumes 12 and 13.

This means the fifth season will likely cover Vol 14 to 18. However, one thing to note is that Maruyama hasn’t yet released Vol 17 and 18. So, Overlord Season 5 might delve into Volumes 14, 15, and 16. The three volumes are entirely based on the war. It shows the world of Overlord on the edge of collapse as the war breaks down. Nazarick declares war on Re-Estize Kingdom. It quickly creates problems for the main character, Ainz Ooal Gown.

    Overlord Season 5 plot details
    Crunchyroll

Since the War of Annihilation begins, fans can see the Re-Estize Kingdom and the Sorcerer Kingdom going head to head to save their kingdom. Meanwhile, Ainz’s guild headquarters seem to be located in the middle of the battleground, creating more complications for the anime’s main character. So, to ease things up, he and his other guild members will decide to bring down the Sorcerer Kingdom to protect their headquarters and guild. While the war intensifies the challenges, Ainz will come up with better decisions.

    Overlord Season 5 Cast Details

If Overlord Season 5 returns, then the anime’s core characters and voice actors will definitely make their return. This, of course, means that Ainz Ooal Gown, who serves as the series’ protagonist, will return with his fellow guild members. These include Albedo, the twin dark elves Aura Bella Fiora and Mare Bello Fiore, and the suit-wearing demon Demiurge. They will undoubtedly return to join Ainz in his next quest for power. The voice actors for the mentioned characters are:

    • Ainz Ooal Gown – Satoshi Hino (Japanese), Chris Guerrero (English)
    • Albedo – Yumi Hara (Japanese), Elizabeth Maxwell (English)
    • Demiurge – Masayaki Katou (Japanese), Jeff Johnson (English)
    • Mare Bello Fiore – Yumi Uchiyama (Japanese), Megan Shipman (English)
    • Aura Bella Fiora – Emiri Kato (Japanese), Chris Guerrero (English)
    • Lumiere – Saori Onishi (Japanese), Jennifer Alyx (English)
    • Antilene Heran Fouche – Yukari Tamura (Japanese), Monica Rial (English)

    Overlord Season 5 Release Date

The series has yet to be announced, so it’s highly unlikely that Overlord Season 5 will be released in 2025. If the series undergoes production this year, then it will take a couple of years to finish production. This means the Overlord Season 5 release date will fall in 2026/2027. But don’t be disheartened.

Overlord Season 5 Release Date updates and news
    Crunchyroll

This is because Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom is likely to air in the fall of 2024. According to the reports, it will hit IMAX in Japan on September 13, 2024, while the theatrical release in Japan will be on September 20, 2024. As for the North American release date, the movie will hit the theatre on November 8, 2024, just a few months after its Japan release. This is all for now. Based on the Japanese light novel by Kurokata, the series is another Isekai genre anime where the hero gets summoned to the fantasy world. However, it is later revealed that Ken Usato is summoned accidently. The King was actually summoning his two friends. But it is later revealed that Usato possesses healing magic power, which is a rare thing, and that’s why the Rescue Team enlists him so they can make better use of him.

The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2 Is Officially Renewed!

The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic debuted in January 2024 and soon became the most popular series of this year. Well, there’s no denying that the anime won many hearts. That’s why the anime committee didn’t take much time to renew the show for the second season. That’s right, The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2 is happening. There’s no brainer as to why the show is renewed for another season. The series is one of the highly acclaimed shows of this year.

The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2 Renewed
    Crunchyroll

It has gained 7.3 stars out of 10 on IMDb, 7.5 stars out of 10 on MyAnimeList, and 4.8 stars out of 5 on Crunchyroll. So, it suggests that the anime has done far better than other Isekai animes to receive an instant renewal after just eight months. While all demos of people have loved the series, its stellar visuals and narration have remained the main highlight of the show. Even the critics have positive things to say about the series. Thus, there’s no doubt why the show should return with the second season.

    Official Announcement

No doubt, Ken Usato enchanted the world with his healing power magic, leading many to clamor for The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2 release date. While fans waited for the second season, the anime committee decided to give the avid fans a treat during the Otakon 2024. During The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic panel at Otakon 2024, on August 3, 2024, the panel announced that the second season was in the cards.

The official announcement came out as a part of the teaser trailer, which is a compilation of the first season. The teaser trailer showcases Ken Usato’s journey from a weak human to a skill-healing magician. It also hints at the most dramatic battle of Usato with his enemy. While the teaser trailer didn’t give any details of the upcoming season, it did suggest that Usato will become stronger than before. Are you ready to see him navigating through the challenges life throws at him? Then, keep reading.

The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2: Production Confirmed

Absolutely, yes! During the Otakon 2024 panel, the anime committee announced that the show was ready for production. That’s right! The series has entered production earlier in August. While nothing more is revealed about the anime, we do know that the production will take longer than expected. According to the source, production will face slight delays due to funding issues. The series has been a global hit, so it makes sense that the animation work should be top-notch. That’s why things will be complicated a lot in The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2.

However, if the funding issues are sidelined, the popular anime will take its usual time to return. Typically, the anime takes 12 to 18 months to conclude production. As for The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic, the pilot season was announced on August 15, 2021, and it took only six months to wrap up the production work. If that is the case, we expect The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2 to follow the same timeframe. So, the show will likely take six months to wrap up the animation work.

    Crunchyroll

However, one thing to note here is that anime is currently linked to several complications. This might cause further delays in production. But nothing has been known to this date. So, it’s 50-50 whether the production will take a year or longer to conclude.

Which Studio Will Produce The Anime?

Studio Add and Shin-Ei Animation produced the first season. While Studio Add is little known, Shin-Ei Animation was founded in December 1966. Daikichiro Kusube, the former animator of Toei Animation, established the production house. So far, the animation studio has created several commercially successful animes, including Perman, Doraemon, Crayon Shin-Chan, Kaibutsu-kun: Hiroshi’s Betrayal, and Stitch! Perfect Memory.

The animation studio is known for animating three to four animes per year. Since it has produced three animes this year, it’s highly unlikely that it will return with The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2 sooner. But there’s a catch! The official announcement didn’t mention anything about the animation studio. In fact, it hasn’t been revealed whether Studio Add and Shin-Ei Animation will return to make the second season. This led many to wonder whether both studio houses wouldn’t return.

The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2 Studio
    Crunchyroll

Many believe the anime will return with a new studio house and staff members. That being said, the old staff members won’t return. Takahide Ogata directed the first season, Elements Garden composed the music, Shogo Yasukawa was in charge of the series composition, and Keiji Tanabe was the character designer. If the former staff returns, then we expect to see the above-mentioned team return to animate The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2.

The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2 Cast Details

As of now, nothing is known about the series cast. The official announcement video hasn’t revealed whether the main voice actors will return. However, it’s safe to assume that all the cast members will return as the show won’t be The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2 without them. These include:

The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2: What Will Happen Next?

The first season finale began with Usato and Inukami discussing the details of Beastkin Territory with Amako at Rescue Team HQ. The latter revealed that she left the territory in search of a healer. Amako also revealed that only humans were capable of wielding healing magic, and since Usato was a healer and a fighter, he would be a great help. To help Amako, Usato headed to Beastkin and saved the former’s mother. On his way, Usato learned the Black Knight’s name was Felm.

As for Usato, he requested Aruku to be his special escort. Meanwhile, after learning about Usato’s mission, Felm decided to tag along with him secretly. But she was caught by Rose. After this incident, Rose gave Usato final advice and told him she believed him.

Since everything turned peaceful in the end, we expect The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic Season 2 to begin with Usato’s journey. He is now heading for the final battle. Since he has learned a lot in his training sessions, it will help him fight evil. But can he alone handle such a situation? Only time will tell.

While the fighting scene creates havoc, just then, Hajime enters the picture to save the princess. He later attacks the person who has been harassing the princess. The trailer then ends with revealing the release window of Arifureta: From Commonplace To World’s Strongest Season 3 and opening theme songs.

    Will Studio Mother Return?

White Fox animated the first season, which Studio Mother later replaced for the second season. While the second season’s animation received a positive response from the audience and critics, the studio house won’t return to animate the series. That’s right! Studio Mother is no longer working for Arifureta: From Commonplace To World’s Strongest Season 3. As per the official announcement, Studio Asread will animate the third season. The studio house is also behind the production of the first two seasons.

It worked with White Fox and Studio Mother to bring Arifureta: From Commonplace To World’s Strongest to life. However, Asread will be the sole studio house working on the series now. The studio was founded in November 2003 by former Xebec members. So far, it has created several hit animes, including Shuffle!, Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King, Future Diary, and Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory. Since the studio house consists of only 23 members, it works on one anime every two years. Thus, its future projects remain unclear. However, we expect that Asread’s official website will soon reveal its details.

Arifureta: From Commonplace To World’s Strongest Season 3: What To Expect Next?

In the second season finale, Hajime and the group were mysteriously transported to a ruined city. There, they met with new challenges and foes. While they handled everything gracefully, the second season ended on a cliffhanger. So, we can expect that Arifureta: From Commonplace To World’s Strongest Season 3 will pick up the pace from there. As of now, it remains unclear how things will unfold in Arifureta Season 3. But considering the teaser trailer, we can expect that Hajime and his crew will arrive in Shea’s hometown.

    Crunchyroll

While the team will be excited to meet new people, they will face new challenges. The RabbitMan tribe isn’t ready to accept them and plans to challenge them in a fight. However, things won’t be in their favor. Meanwhile, Hajime will face a new task. This time, he has to prove his skills to save someone’s life. This someone will be a princess. As the series enters its third season, it will delve into the arcs “The Princess’ Ordeal” and “The Empire Vs the Strongest Rabbits.” Hajime will also learn about Shea’s town, the Heilig Kingdom, and the mystery surrounding its hierarchy.

    Is There Enough Source Material?

As mentioned above, the anime is loosely based on the light novel series by Ryo Shirakome and illustrated by Takayaki. The series was published in print from June 2015 to September 2022. Since it has been concluded there could be a scarcity of source material. But it isn’t the case with Arifureta Shokugyo de Sekai Saikyo. The light novel series has 13 volumes, and the first two seasons have only covered until Vol 6. So, there’s ample source material left to delve into.

However, nothing is known about Arifureta: From Commonplace To World’s Strongest Season 3 release date. But we can expect that the third season will pick up the pace from Vol 7 and might cover three to four volumes. The series hasn’t been true to its source material. So far, it has loosely covered each volume. So we expect the same with the third season.

  • Fire Force Season 3: Gets 2025 Release Window!

Since the anime enthusiast last saw Fire Force Season 2 back in 2020, they have been clamoring to learn more about its future. However, it’s been almost four years since we have heard anything about the series, and neither have we heard anything about Fire Force Season 3. So the question arises whether the series will ever return with fans’ favorite characters. You’ll be surprised to learn that the studio house has already made the much-needed update. So, does it mean season 3 will return soon? Keep reading to know that.

Based on a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo, the anime focuses on the Great Cataclysm, an event that wiped out the world. It was the Year 198 when the incident led Tokyo to form a special fire brigade called Fire Force. They were responsible for fighting spontaneous human combustion. While the situation turned upside-down, it was later revealed that Demons possessed pyrokinesis, causing more damage to society. However, the Holy Sol Temple army remained intact to prevent such changes. But can they continue? Let’s see!

Fire Force Season 3 Release Date: Is It Officially Renewed?

The science fantasy series Fire Force debuted back in 2019 with a bang. Soon after its debut, the series was renewed for the second season. However, the same didn’t happen with Fire Force Season 3. Season 2 aired in December 2020, and fans have waited years to learn about the official statement. There’s no denying that the series performed brilliantly on the platform. In fact,  it received a positive reception from the audience as well as the critics. It gained 9 solid stars out of 10 on IMDb and 7.8 on MyAnimeList.

Thus, it’s enough to suggest that the series should have returned for another season. However, the series got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While it halted many series productions, the pandemic affected Fire Force Season 3’s renewal. Despite that, the series’ official X/Twitter account surprised the fans by announcing the third season. In May 2022, the official account confirmed that the series would return with a third season, leaving fans with tears of joy.

But it’s been almost two years since the series was renewed, and nothing has been known about its future. Well, there’s a possibility that they could face more delays due to issues behind the scenes. However, we will update you as soon as we learn the official news.

Fire Force Season 3: Has Production Begun?

Although little is known about Fire Force Season 3, we can safely say that the series is under development. Almost a year after the official renewal announcement, the official X account of the anime confirmed that the series was finally “in production.” Fans have been waiting for this news since they learned about the series’ future. But again, a year has passed, and nothing is known about the series’ progress. Is it still under development, or has it been shelved?

A lot of disturbing questions are running in the series’ fans’ minds. However, you can hold your horses. That’s because a source confirmed that the series is still in production. Since it’s an action-packed anime, it will take longer to wrap up the production. Fire Force Season 3 is expected to take almost two years to finish production and post-production work.

Will David Production Return To Produce The Series?

Since the series was announced, David Production has served as the studio house behind the series’ animation. The studio has produced the first two seasons of the series. David Production is a Japanese animation studio founded in September 2007. It was founded by the former Gonzo producers Koji Kajita and Taito Okiura. Since then, the production house has produced plenty of big banner series. These include JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Captain Tsubasa, Cells at Work!, and Urusei Yatsura. However, a source confirmed that David Production wouldn’t return to produce Fire Force Season 3.

Despite the studio house being behind the first two seasons, Studio Shaft is now expected to take over from David Production who also made Urusei Yatsura Part 2 . Studio Shaft is a Japanese animation studio founded in 1975. Since then, the studio has released several masterpieces, including Hidamari Sketch, Sayonara, Monogatari, Zetsubou-Sensei, March Comes in Like a Lion, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. While Digital Spy suggests that Studio Shaft will produce Fire Force Season 3, an official announcement hasn’t yet been made.

Fire Force Season 3 release date news updates in 2024
    Crunchyroll

A source posted on X that neither David Production nor Studio Shaft will produce the third season. A new studio house will likely take over Fire Force Season 3. But nothing has been confirmed. However, one thing to note here is that David Production’s official website does suggest that they are currently working on Season 3 of Fire Force. Though the situation seems messed up, we expect David Production to return to animate the series. If this happens, we can expect Yuki Yase to return to the direction. Gakuto Haijima will return as the series scriptwriter, Kenichiro Suehiro as the music composer, and Hideyuki Morioka as the character designer.

Will The Fire Force Get Further Delay?

As mentioned above, whether David Production will return to animate Fire Force Season 3 remains unclear. Thus, there’s ambiguity as to whether the production house will return; if it won’t, then who will take over the production duty remains under wrap. In addition, typically, production takes 12 to 18 months. So, if a new production house joins the show, it will take almost a year to wrap it up. Besides this, such action-heavy shonen shows require a lengthy production period, like a couple of years or more.

Another major factor is the series’ lack of source material. A lot of material has already been adapted. This means the animation studio either has to wait to return with season 3 or create original anime material. However, since the anime has remained true to its source material, we can expect the series might wait to return. Considering all the possibilities, we can expect that Fire Force Season 3 will face more delay than we expected.

Fire Force Season 3: What To Expect Next?

The anime has remained true to its source material. So, there’s no denying that the third season will continue with the “Stigma Arc.” The second season has shown plenty of new demons and the battle between the Holy Sol Temple army with them. However, Fire Force Season 3 is expected to end the arc with a major confrontation between Shinra and Fire Force Members with the White Clad’s leaders. Well, it will undoubtedly make things more challenging for Shinra.

Fire Force Season 3 official annoucement studio change news
    Crunchyroll

But after this huge battle, the third season will delve into the “Obi’s Rescue Arc.” Now, it looks like after the completion of the “Stigma Arc,” Obi will get arrested. This will quickly make things more dramatic for the heroes of Company 8. They have to pick a side, as they can’t sit quietly and see injustice with Obi. So, the heroes may go against their organization to support Captain Obi. Will this bring a revolution? Only time will tell.

    Is There Enough Source Material?

Fire Force is based on Atsushi Ohkubo’s manga series. It started serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from September 2015 to February 2022. The manga has already wrapped up with 34 tankobon volumes, so there isn’t enough material left to cover. However, the first two seasons have covered the manga’s first 174 chapters, covering 20 tankobon volumes. That means two-thirds of the manga series has already been wrapped up. One thing to note here is that both seasons covered 11 volumes in total.

That means the third season will cover the same, covering almost 31 volumes. This means there’s enough source material to cover the third season of Fire Force. But it will mark the last batch of episodes of this season. So, even though the series has caught up with the manga, it seems like there’s sufficient source left to cover.

Fire Force Season 3 Cast Details

    Crunchyroll

Although nothing is known yet, we can expect that the original cast members will return for the third run. These include:

    • Shinra – Gakuto Kajiwara (Japanese), Derick Snow (English)
    • Iris – Mao Ichimichi (Japanese), Alexis Tipton (English)
    • Captain Obi – Kazuya Nakai (Japanese), Jeremy Inman (English)
    • Takehisa -Kenichi Suzumura (Japanese), Christopher Wehkamp (English)
    • Joker – Kenjirou Tsuda (Japanese), Sonny Strait (English)
    • Maki – Saeko Kamijou (Japanese), Sarah Roach (English)
    • Arthur – Yuusuke Kobayashi (Japanese), Eric Vale (English)
    • Tamaki – Aoi Yuuki (Japanese), Jad Saxton (English)

There’s a possibility that some new faces will also join Fire Force Season 3. Since the series will be in its final phase, it seems like it will also introduce some characters from Soul Eaters, as the manga’s final chapters hinted at the beginning of the new era. So we can expect some crossover events in the third season.

    Is Fire Force Worth Watching?

Well, the anime is undoubtedly incredible, as it performed quite well on the streaming platform. Not only this, but the anime’s performance has also boosted manga sales. By May 2022, the manga had over 20 million copies in circulation. Thus, there’s no denying that the show is brilliant. Also, the narration of the series, as well as the animation, was top-notch. Many of the Reddit users also praised the series. A user stated that the second season was way better than the first season on the animation side.

    Comment

Another user wrote, “Man I definitely don’t know which one is better, both are incredible, but I will not deny that the new chapters that appeared in the 2nd season really pleased me, I love Inca, and the way it was introduced is developed in the plot.” So, it’s pretty clear that the anime performed well in terms of animation, fights, sound designs, and narration.

Fire Force Season 3 Release Date

As mentioned above, the series is currently in production. However, there’s a possibility that a shift in the series’ production house could take place, further delaying the production status and the release date. Considering this, we can expect Fire Force Season 3 to be released sometime in 2026. However, you don’t have to wait that long. That’s because, at Crunchyroll’s Anime Expo 2024 industry panel, it was confirmed that the anime will be split-cour season. The first instalment will arrive in April 2025, with the second one will be released in January 2026. This is all for now. Stay with The Anime Daily for more such updates.

    Crunchyroll

As soon as the series debuted, it broke all the records, becoming one of the most-watched series on Crunchyroll. There’s no denying that the year started with a bang. Shortly after its debut, Campfire Cooking In Another World received a positive reception from both the audience and critics. It garnered 7.7 out of 10 stars on MyAnimeList and 7.6 on IMDb. Thus, there’s no brainer as to why the anime got renewed for the next season, Campfire Cooking In Another World Season 2.

    Official Announcement

On October 29, 2023, anime director Kiyoshi Matsuda and light novel illustrator Masa surprised their audience with new illustrations. The key visual announced that Campfire Cooking In Another World Season 2 was happening. Well, it soon took the fans by storm. There’s no denying that the audience has been looking forward to this announcement since the series wrapped up. However, it came as a part of the Studio MAPPA’s special event.

In that event, the studio house behind the series revealed their plans for Campfire Cooking In Another World Season 2. Soon, Studio MAPPA reposted the official announcement, confirming the status of the second season. Well, the studio house worked on the pilot season of the series, so it seems it will return for season 2 as well. However, the announcement didn’t share much about the sophomore season’s cast and plot details.

Campfire Cooking In Another World With My Absurd Skill Season 2: Production Status

As soon as the series was renewed, Studio MAPPA confirmed it was under development. Well, this piece of information soon made many people’s days. However, the studio house behind the series confirmed the production status in October. That means the series has already reached its halfway to completion. Typically, the anime takes 12 to 18 months to wrap up its production work. Considering this, we can expect it to return shortly on our screen. However, one thing to note here is that Studio MAPPA will return to animate the second season. That means delay can happen! Why?

The studio house has created several hit anime series and is behind big banner projects like Jujutsu Kaisen. It is already working on animes like Bucchigiri?!, Oblivion Battery, Zenshu, Lazarus, Hell’s Paradise Jigokuraku Season 2, and Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. So it seems like Campfire Cooking In Another World With My Absurd Skill Season 2 might face a delay due to Studio MAPPA’s busy schedule. Besides this, the studio house has faced some internal issues during the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 broadcast, which might have affected the studio’s reputation.

Although the internal problem between the staff and directors has been resolved, it doesn’t seem like the studio will return soon with Campfire Cooking In Another World Season 2. That’s because of its busy schedule. However, don’t fret! We will update you as soon as the official announcement about its production status will be dropped.

    Is There Enough Source Material?

Campfire Cooking In Another World With My Absurd Skill is an adaptation of Ren Eguchi’s light novel series. It started serializing in January 2016 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro before being published in print under the Overlap Novels imprint. Masa then illustrated the LN. As of February 2024, the LN has a total number of 15 volumes. That means ample source material is left to be covered in Campfire Cooking In Another World Season 2.

That’s because the first season covered only two volumes, per reports. There’s no denying that the anime is following a slow pace, covering every detail of the light novel. However, if this were the case, Campfire Cooking In Another World Season 2 will follow the same timeline. It will also cover two volumes, leaving ample source material for more seasons to come. Another interesting fact here is the light novel is ongoing. That means more volumes will arrive soon. So, fans can get as many seasons of Campfire Cooking In Another World With My Absurd Skill as possible.

Campfire Cooking In Another World Season 2: What To Expect Next?

In the first season’s final episode, Mukouda made a big purchase for the Goddesses. While he continued to win their blessings, Fel returned after hunting an Earth dragon. However, Mukouda scolded Fel for his reckless choice. But Willem suggested that the duo travel to Dolan city, where the guild master could guide them with Fel’s new prey as he was a dragon expert. It quickly gave Mukouda a new hope to visit the ocean. So, we can expect Campfire Cooking In Another World Season 2 to follow from there. Mukouda and Fel will head to Dolan City, but amid their journey, they will spot many dangerous creatures like goblins and sea serpents.

However, Fel will be brave enough to fight them back, giving Mukouda more time to prepare delicious meals. On the other hand, Mukouda will learn more about Sui. It will be a great start for them to reconnect. However, as the anime progresses, Mukouda will also learn about the other heroes and how he can help them. • Fel – Satoshi Hino (Japanese), Jonah Scott (English)

Since Mukouda will enter the new land, it remains unclear whether the Goddess and the Willem will return for the next season. There’s also a chance that many new faces will be introduced in Campfire Cooking In Another World Season 2. We will update you as soon as we learn about the official announcement. However, we can expect the staff to return. Kiyoshi Matsuda will return as the series director, and Michiko Yokote will be the scriptwriter. Official Announcement!

It’s official! In March 2024, Crunchyroll announced that Solo Leveling Season 2 is happening. The news was dropped just after the series released its final episode. Well, such an early announcement wasn’t expected, leaving fans in a frenzy. Not only this, but Crunchyroll also announced that the sophomore role will be officially titled Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise From The Shadow. In addition to this, the streaming platform dropped a short PV trailer and the character art for Igris, who appeared in Episode 11, alongside an official teaser announcing the second season.

The official announcement video follows Sung Jin-Woo narrating his struggle to reach the E-rank of the Hunters Class. His life has undoubtedly changed from being the weakest hunter to becoming the most skilled hunter. But it seems like things will turn darker soon when a new character makes his entry. It will be none other than Igris. As the teaser progresses, it suggests the biggest battle has yet to begin in Solo Leveling Season 2.

When is solo levelling season 2 going to be released? Production Status

    Crunchyroll

Besides this, the series producer Sota Furuhashi revealed that Solo Leveling Season 2 is currently in the development stage. He told the Aniplex YouTube channel they are working hard on the series. Although he tried to avoid much about the series, he dropped the much-needed update. The series will focus on the side characters this time. Furuhashi revealed that this season won’t be solely based on Sung Jin-Woo. It will definitely focus on the side characters’ development and story arc. Interesting!

Solo Leveling Season 2: Teaser Trailer Is Out!

Finally, the wait is over now! The official account of Solo Leveling has recently dropped the official teaser trailer for Solo Leveling Season 2. The trailer features a new title track, “4eVR” by Hiroyuki Sawano. It features a stunning battle scene between Jinwoo’s shadows and enemy monsters. While the producer Sota Furuhashi has already revealed that the series will focus on the side characters, the leaked images show the second season will adapt the “Jeju Island Arc.” In addition to this, the series will also feature some characters from Solo Leveling: Arise, a new webtoon by Meilin Fisher and Alicia Blanche.

Solo Leveling Season 2: What To Expect Next?

The official announcement trailer hints that the second season will focus on Igris vs. Sung Jin-Woo. However, there’s more to come. The last we saw was the outcome of the Job-Change Quest and how things drastically changed in Sung Jin-Woo’s life. After finishing the quest, Jin-Woo received a reward from the System: Shadow Monarch title. He can turn the dead into Shadow Soldiers under his order with this title. This will definitely make things more fruitful for him.

But the threat is still on the horizon. Igris continues to eye on Jin-Woo, leading to a dramatic fight between the two. When things start getting serious, Jin-Woo vows to change the System. So far, the anime has remained faithful to its source material, and we expect the same in Solo Leveling Season 2. Apart from this, in the post-credit scene, Choi Jong In’s party managed to kill a giant ant from the Jeju Island Reconnaissance mission. While the battle was intense, the hunters learned that ants were evolving. That’s because the ant they battled had wings. Considering this, the anime can return for up to seven or more seasons.

But is it on the cards? You’ll be surprised to learn that Netflix already has plans for its highly-anticipated follow-up season. It’s been only a few months since Netflix dropped the spinoff series of its original animated series, Castlevania. But fans can’t get the fantastic scenes out of their mind. With the hype around the sophomore run, let’s see what we know about season 2 of Castlevania: Nocturne.

The animated series is an adaptation of the 1993 Konami video game Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and its sequel Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It follows Richter Belmont, the descendant of Trevor Belmont, who goes on a quest to remove night creatures and vampires. However, with the power-greedy vampires and the French Revolution in play, things become challenging for Richter to deal with. With Richter on a mission to make the world peaceful for humans, will he be able to deal with the bloodsucking monsters? Let’s see!

Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2: Renewed Or Not?

Castlevania is undoubtedly the biggest-ever production. Since the video game was launched back in the 80s, it has been abuzz. With Trevor Belomont’s Castlevania running for four seasons till 2021, fans received a surprise with a spinoff series announcement. However, it’s been almost ten months since we last saw Richter Belmont fighting against the vampires. Now, fans are curious to see whether their favorite protagonist will hit the screen again. And what if we tell you he will?

Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 Topped Ranking Countries
Netflix Global Top Ten Chart/ Castlevania: Nocturne topped in 41 countries

Yes, you read that right! Netflix already has plans for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2. Just after the series hit our screen, the giant streaming platform surprised its audience with a season 2 announcement. Well, there’s no brainer as to why the series received a sophomore run. Shortly after its first season, the series received positive ratings from the fans as well as the critics. It garnered 96% on Rotten Tomatoes; on IMDb, it earned 7.4 out of 10.

In addition, the animated series remained on the Global Top 10 TV (English) for almost two weeks and in almost 41 countries, including the Bahamas, Bulgaria, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and more. There, the series ruled the charts for more than a week. Thus, there’s no doubt why Netflix decided to renew the series just after a month of its debut.

    Official Announcement

There’s no denying that Castlevania: Nocturne surprised its fans with its epic battle scene. While fans wished for more, Netflix dropped an official announcement trailer teasing Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2. It quickly took fans by storm, as nobody had ever thought the streaming giant would make such a quick announcement.

That’s because Netflix typically takes a couple of months or more to review the series, and based on its reception and watch hours, the streaming giant makes its decision. But this was a totally different case with the Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2. The streaming giant shared an announcement video featuring some unfinished art of the characters. While the trailer didn’t give much information about the next season, it did hint at who would return.

Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2: Production Status

Netflix has not only renewed Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2, but the series is also in production. The streaming giant dropped an announcement clip, which featured some rough artwork. It quickly left fans believing that the series was already under development. If it does, we expect that the second season will have reached its halfway to completion. That’s because the animated series generally takes a year or more to wrap up production.

When it comes to Castlevania: Nocturne, it is believed that the production will last between 12 and 18 months. That’s because the pilot season took almost the same time to finish production. But one thing to remember here is that if some issues behind the scenes arise at the studio house, then the predicted timeline will be extended. Still, we can expect that the series will soon undergo the post-production stage.

    First Trailer Is Out

Netflix’s official Geeked X account released the first teaser trailer of Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2. The trailer focuses on the return of the vampire hunter Richter Belmont, who will fight against supernatural forces. The brief teaser shows the rise of supernatural forces and how Belmont struggles to eliminate them. While the theme suggests the second season will turn darker, a cryptic voiceover hints at an impending greater evil.

The teaser trailer also features some new characters and ominous landscapes. It shows that tension will be higher as Belmont struggles to fight against the new evil vampire. In addition, the new trailer hints at some vampire confrontations and intense magic and battle. Will Belmont win against the evil vampires?

Which Studio Will Produce The Show?

As soon as Netflix announced the second season, it clearly revealed that Powerhouse Animation would return as the production studio. The studio house was founded in April 2001 in Austin, Texas. While the studio has created several 2D animation projects, it has developed multiple digital and animation projects over time. The animation house is solely responsible for the biggest hit parent series, Castlevania. It has also created several hit animation series like Blood of Zeus, Skull Island, Seis Manos, and Masters of the Universe.

    Netflix

Powerhouse Animation is currently working on Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, which will hit the screens this year (2024). Since the studio house has been working on its upcoming project as well as its past project spinoffs, Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 might face some delay. However, we will update you on that. Besides the animation studio, Clive Bradley and Kevin Kolde will return as the series showrunners. Sam and Adam Deats will serve as the series director.

    Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2: Plot

Season 1 of Castlevania: Nocturne took us back to 1783 when we were introduced to young Richter Belmont and his mother, Julia. After the French Revolution took place, Julia decided to run away with her son from France to safer ground. However, the 250-year-old vampire Olrox killed Julia before she could flee in front of Richter. In a tragic event, Olrox spared Richter’s life but warned him that he would return once the young boy would be grown up.

However, this made Richter hate the vampires more. Throughout the series, the vampire hunter and his fellow revolutionaries fight against the aristocrats and blood-thirsty vampires. But he had bigger problems to face in the future, including the vampire messiah Erzsebet. She had planned to block the sun forever with her spells. As her power grew stronger in the first season’s finale, it would become challenging for Richter to deal with Erzsebet.

    Netflix

While it remains unclear what story arc Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 will follow, fans can expect a showdown between Richter and Erzsebet. The vampire hunter will do his best to kill Erzsebet, and with Alucard by his side, things will definitely change for the better. However, we shouldn’t forget that the Vampire Messiah’s power is rising, which means she can turn the table anytime. Besides this, Tera’s story arc will also play a significant role in the second season. She has now turned into a vampire. So, seeing how things will work for her will be interesting.

    Is There Enough Source Material?

Of course, yes! The series is based on the video game Castlevania, which was launched in 1986 and released many new games until 2014. The franchise has a total of 30 games at present. With Castlevania: Nocturne being an adaptation of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, we expect the second run to delve deeper into Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness. Given that there is ample source material left to explore, we can expect that the animated series can run for four or more seasons.

    Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2: Cast

Although the official announcement trailer didn’t reveal anything about the Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 cast, co-showrunner Kolde revealed that fans’ favorite characters would return. These are:

    • Richter Belmont – Edward Bluemel
    • Annette – Thuso Mbedu
    • Maria Renard – Pixie Davies
    • Tera – Nastassja Kinski
    • Edouard – Sydney James Harcourt
    • Erzsebet Báthory – Franka Potente
    • Olrox – Zahn McClarnon
    • Mizrak – Aaron Neil

The first season saw the demise of many prominent characters. Despite that, Sam, Adam Deats, and Kevin Kolde shared that fans could get more of Alucard (James Callis) and Juste Belmont (Iain Glen). Not only this, but the co-showrunner also suggested that Dracula could make his return. There’s a talk about the greatest villain of all time, and Klode thinks it will be right to bring back Dracula. If he returns for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2, then Graham McTavish will definitely return to voice the villain.

    Is Castlevania: Nocturne Worth Watching?

There’s no denying that Castlevania: Nocturne is an absolute must-watch series. Even critics say that, too. However, the series received a bittersweet reception on Reddit. No doubt, many fans liked the series and even praised its work. However, some remained disappointed as the series only partially adapted Rondo of Blood. It did give justice to the video game, but multiple original storylines made things complicated for avid game lovers.

A Reddit user shared that Nocturne’s first season was epic. It did remarkable work, just like its parent series. However, it only shares 50% of the storyline of the Rondo of Blood. Thus, Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 is required to give justice to the series. Meanwhile, another user said, “This series is a worthy successor that has incredible potential.” The series has undoubtedly established its own universe, and it can go to three or more seasons. However, many still believe that the narration team could have done better.

Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2: Release Date

As we mentioned above, the series is currently in the development stage, but it won’t take much time to return to our screens. The official website of Powerhouse Animation Studios hints that they are currently animating Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2. While it’s a good sign, the political issues behind the scenes can push the series’ release date.

It is set in a fictional world of dungeon exploration where the adventuring parties are set to raid the dungeon in the hope of finding the mysterious Golden Kingdom. Likewise, a group of adventurers set to raid and kill a red dragon. However, their unsuccessful attempt led them to lose the leader’s sister, Falin Touden. So, in order to find her back, group leader Laios Touden and his group members set on a mysterious mission to kill all the monsters and save Falin.

Delicious In Dungeon Season 2: Official Renewal Announcement

There’s no denying that Delicious In Dungeon was an incredibly standout anime. From the beginning, the series has captivated its fans’ hearts. And that’s why Netflix didn’t delay to announce its decision. Just after its successful six-month run, Netflix made a surprising yet pleasant announcement. The streaming giant renewed Delicious In Dungeon for Season 2. The brilliant news came just after the first season wrapped up its airing. The official X account of the anime soon dropped a key visual and a teaser trailer, announcing Delicious In Dungeon Season 2.

While the post quickly went viral, the teaser trailer didn’t give much detail about the following season. It also shared glimpses of the first season, featuring some of the best of Laios and his troupe moment. However, the trailer ends on a thrilling note where Laios and his friends stand against Thistle, the lunatic magician, and an army of dragons. With things remaining under wrap, Delicious In Dungeon Season 2 will definitely give its fans some more interesting storylines to tune into.

Besides that, the anime won the viewers’ hearts and received positive ratings from the critics and the audience. Delicious In Dungeon garnered 7.9 out of 10 on IMDb, while on Rotten Tomatoes, the series earned a 100% positive response. Thus, it’s a no-brainer why Netflix returned with Delicious In Dungeon Season 2.

Delicious In Dungeon Season 2: Production Status

Just after Netflix announced the second season, Studio Trigger, the production house behind the anime, took to X to share the much-needed update. The studio confirmed that Delicious In Dungeon Season 2 was currently in production. That means Studio Trigger has been working on the anime since its first season was on air. Not only this, but the studio house has also shared that the second season will be released in two cours (12 episodes in each block).

That means Season 2 of Delicious In Dungeon will follow the same timeline and run for six or more months. Although the studio house has announced that the series is in production, it remains unclear how long it will take to return to our screens. Considering that Studio Trigger takes almost a year to wrap up the production, we can expect that the anime will enter post-production soon.

Who Will Produce Delicious In Dungeon Season 2?

Studio Trigger is set to return to animate the series. The Japanese animation studio was founded in 2011 by Gainax employees Hiroyuki Imaishi and Masahiko Otsuka. Since then, the studio has created several hit animes, including BNA: Brand New Animal, Little Witch Academia, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and Kill la Kill. However, Studio Trigger’s Seven Deadly Sins and Record of Ragnarok damaged the company’s reputation, leaving fans disappointed with their work.

With Delicious In Dungeon, the company has finally regained its status. So, fans are excited to see what new the studio house will bring to their table in Delicious In Dungeon Season 2. Although the official website of Studio Trigger suggests that it’s working on the sophomore run, it also suggests that it’s working on another new project, New Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt. So, considering Studio Trigger’s busy schedule, Danjon Meshi Season 2 will take more time than we think.

In addition, Yoshihiro Miyajima will return as the series director, Yasunori Mitsuda and Shunsuke Tsuchiya will be the composers, and Kimiko Ueno will be the anime’s scriptwriter. While little information about the staff details is available, we will update you shortly after the official announcement.

Delicious In Dungeon Season 2: Plot Details

The first run ended on a hopeful note. After defeating Gargoyles, Laios and his friends discovered they could save Falin. All they needed to do was separate her from the dragon and eat its remains to stop them from reattaching Falin. While it could take them ages to achieve their goal, Laios seemed optimistic. Delicious In Dungeon Season 2 will pick the pace from where it left off. Laios will map a plan to seek the help of the other adventurers and islanders to execute their plan.

While he is sure he and his party can save Falin, other threats are still looming. The announcement trailer hinted that Laios and his party have yet to free the Winged Lion. So, the team will soon enter the dungeon to save the Winged Lion. But it won’t be easy as Thistle, the lunatic magician, and an army of dragons will be waiting for them. This will undoubtedly create a panic situation for the adventurers as they have no clue how to deal with them.

Since anime has remained true to its source material, it will undoubtedly cover the epic showdown. Besides this battle, Kabru and Namari will be tasked to warn the elf government’s secret police force, Canaries. The duo will inform the Canaries about the changes in the dungeon. As the first season hinted that the dungeon is expanding, it will definitely lead to the introduction of more new monsters. That will indeed create problems for the islanders. So now, Canaries are tasked to stop this menace before things go out of control.

Dungeon Meshi Season 2: Cast Details

As of now, the official news hasn’t yet revealed much about the series’ cast. However, since the main characters are set to return, we can expect that their voice actors will return as well. These include:

    • Marcille Donato – Sayaka Senbongi (Japanese), Emily Rudd (English)
    • Chilchuck Tims – Asuna Tomari (Japanese), Casey Mongillo (English)

    • Falin Touden – Saori Hayami (Japanese), Lisa Reimold (English)
    • Kabru – Wataru Kotah (Japanese), Cedric Williams (English)

While Delicious In Dungeon Season 2 is expected to bring more monsters to the table, their voice actors have yet to be revealed. However, the Winged Lion will be voiced by none other than the anime’s narrator, Satoshi Mikami.

Will There Be More Delicious In Dungeon Seasons?

Delicious In Dungeon Season 2 cast details pictures
    Netflix

It doesn’t seem like though. That’s because the anime is an adaptation of Ryoko Kui’s manga series, which has 14 volumes in total and covers 97 chapters. As we know, the first season covered 52 chapters of the eight volumes. There isn’t room for more seasons. The series has already gone halfway. Danjon Meshi Season 2 is expected to cover half of the manga in its run. If the series follows the same pattern as the first season, then season 2 will cover two chapters per episode. This shows there isn’t enough source material left to return with Delicious In Dungeon Season 3.

Danjon Meshi or Dungeon Meshi was serialized from February 2014 to September 2023 in Enterbrain’s seinen manga magazine. While the manga is undoubtedly one of its kind, it broke all the records last year. As of March 2024, the Dungeon Meshi has 14 million copies in circulation. That means the anime’s great work on Netflix’s ground has increased the manga’s sales. While the manga has seen a hike in its sales, anime’s blockbuster performance has no match.

Delicious In Dungeon ended with the eighth volume of the source material. Within its debut, the series became the most-watched anime on Netflix. Dungeon Meshi also remained in Netflix’s Global Top Ten for 15 weeks in Taiwan, 8 weeks in Thailand, 10 weeks in Hong Kong, and 5 weeks in Japan. The series also remained in the top ten in Martinique, Reunion, and Vietnam for a week. Besides this, the series has earned 11,900,000 watch hours globally. That means it earned 7,700,000 total views. Thus, there’s no denying that the series is highly popular.

As we have mentioned before, Dungeon Meshi Season 2 is currently in production. Typically, production takes a year or more to complete. The official account of Blue Lock finally dropped the first teaser trailer of Blue Lock Season 2 on July 6, 2024. The clip started with the speech of the General Director of the Blue Lock Project, Ego Jinpachi. He addressed the 35 remaining strikers of the project, reminding them of the intensity of the project and the upcoming match against the U-20 Japan National Team. The entire session is intense and personal; if they lose it, it will cost them the Blue Lock Project. So, the strikers have to showcase their strength and win the tournament at any cost.

As for Yoichi Isagi, he showcases an incredible strength exuding his ego. He needs to showcase his strength to the world while playing against the U-20 Japan National Team. It’s the perfect chance for him. However, the trailer hints that the situation will intensify as the defender will aim to stop the strikers at any cost. The teaser trailer also features Oliver Aiku, the captain of the U-20 Japan National Team.

Blue Lock Season 2: Production Status

Since the release date of Blue Lock Season 2 has already been announced, there’s no denying that the show has finished most of its animation work. The second season is likely in its final stage of production. Well, the series was announced way back in early 2023. Typically, the animation work takes almost a year and a half to finish its production. Considering the release window is nearing, the series would have been in post-production.

    Will Studio Eight Bit Return?

Studio Eight Bit Co. Ltd surprised fans after announcing the launch of the popular manga series Blue Lock. The animation was incredible, and fans of all demos loved the narration and graphics. Eight Bit was established in September 2008 and, in 2020, partnered with Bandai Namco to create multiple anime productions. Not only did it produce the second run, but it has also produced Blue Lock’s feature film, Blue Lock: Episode Nagi.

    Is There Enough Source Material?

You can breathe a sigh of relief! That’s because there is enough source material left to explore. The series is based on Muneyuki Kaneshiro’s manga series, illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It began serializing on August 1, 2018, in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. As of now, the manga series has a total number of 29 volumes available online. Speaking of the Blue Lock anime, it has covered almost 11 volumes. While the first season has covered quite a lot of volumes, it roughly marked 90 chapters.

But no need to fret! This is because there are almost 18 volumes left to explore in the next season. Since the series has covered 11 volumes so far, we can expect it to cover the same in Blue Lock Season 2. Also, the series is currently ongoing, which means more volumes are yet to come. So, Blue Lock can return up to more seasons. Not only this, but Kodansha returned with a spin-off manga focusing on Seishiro Nagi, Blue Lock: Episode Nagi. The spin-off manga has four tankobon volumes so far, and it’s also ongoing, so expect more to come in the future.

Blue Lock Season 2: What Will Happen Next?

The pilot season began with the Introduction arc, where the mastermind, Ego Jinpachi, invited 300 of Japan’s Under-20 strikers for a rigorous training regime. The season quickly created an environment for the talented forwards to compete against each other to make it to the finals. While each episode focused on the elimination round and the search for the strongest players, Blue Lock Season 2 promises to intensify.

However, it doesn’t end here. Ego has some wilder plans, which might put more pressure on the strikers. Ego plans to test the player’s abilities by broadcasting the tournament on an international level. Interesting? Things will get way more wilder in the second run.

Another user wrote: “Ao Ashi is more of a realistic slow burn with small payoffs later, whereas Blue Lock is hype every episode despite being unrealistic and pays off massively with its mini-arcs. I personally enjoyed Blue Lock more than Ao Ashi because it never stopped being boring, but both are good.”

There’s More, Blue Lock: Episode Nagi

If you love Blue Lock, you will definitely enjoy its spin-off movie, Blue Lock: Episode Nagi. Rather than focusing on Yoichi Isagi, the series focuses on his teammate Nagi Seishiro, offering a fresh perspective on his side of the story. The film focuses on Nagi’s experience and struggles during the Blue Lock program. While the feature film was released in Japan on April 19, North American watchers can enjoy it on June 28. However, it remains unclear when the movie will get its international release.
