The success of the Tokyo Revengers franchise is mostly due to the original anime and manga, but the live-action movie also played a big part. Even though live-action adaptations of anime and manga have a bad reputation among otaku, Tokyo Revengers is not one of them. Kento Nagayama has been cast as Keisuke Baji, Nijiro Murakami as Kazutora Hanemiya, and Mahiro Takasugi as Chifuyu Matsuno. Some of the actors and crew from the first live-action Tokyo Revengers movie will be back for the sequel, which will also have new actors. Shota Okada, the director, will also oversee the production of Tsutomu Hanabusa’s next film. The original actors of Takemichi (Takumi Kitamura), Mikey (Ryo Yoshizawa), and Draken (Yuki Yamada) will reprise their roles. We won’t know more about the show’s cast and crew for a while.

What Will The Sequel Be About?

The plot is described by Kodansha USA. Takemichi Hanagaki finds out that his middle school sweetheart, Hinata Tachibana, has died when he turns on the news. A bad group of criminals called the Tokyo Manji Gang just killed his one and only girlfriend. His boss, who is six years younger than him, treats him like a fool, and the walls of his apartment are as thin as paper. The second season shall continue the chaos of timelines.

Tokyo Revengers 2 Live-Action: Release Date

It looks like fans will have a lot to do in 2023, with a new season of the anime, a live-action sequel, and the end of the manga.
