Demon Slayer Movie 2: Is It Happening? Release Date & Everything To Know

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train premiered back in October 2020. Soon after the movie got released, fans were clamoring to know more about Demon Slayer Movie 2. Well, shortly after the series hit the big screen, it became one of the most popular movies in Japan. In fact, Demon Slayer returned with the second season soon after a year. However, fans want to know whether Demon Slayer Movie 2 is still on the cards? Let’s see!

Based on the shonen manga series of Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the movie follows the struggle of Tanjiro Kamado, his sister Nezuko, Inosuke Hashibira, and Zenitsu Agatsuma. They all board the Mugen Train to help Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku find the demon responsible for forty people’s disappearance. However, soon after boarding, they all fall into a deep sleep. So Enmu ordered people on the train to destroy their spiritual core, and he would grant them a peaceful sleep.

Demon Slayer Movie 2: Renewal

As of now, Ufotable, the animation company behind the movie, hasn’t revealed whether Demon Slayer will return with the second movie. Soon after the first film aired, the animation studio returned with the second season, an extended version of the film. There’s a possibility that the anime series will continue narrating the story through shows. So there’s little to no hope that Demon Slayer Movie 2 will return, at least not now.

But no need to fret. We can expect that the anime will soon return with the second movie. This is because the second season is already wrapped up, and the animation studio hasn’t revealed whether Tanjiro and the company will return with the third season or a sequel film. Considering it released the first movie after the first season, we can expect that Ufotable might return with Demon Slayer Movie 2.

Ufotable has been mum about the production status of Demon Slayer Movie 2. So there’s no clue when they will return to work on the sequel film. But it won’t take much time to return. Fortunately, yes, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is based on a manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge. The anime was serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine from February 2016 to May 2020. It only has twenty-three tankobon volumes. Currently, only a fragment of the volume had narrated in the show as well as a movie. So there’s plenty of content left to explore.

The first two seasons focused on Stone Wars and how Senku established his kingdom. But it isn’t the end. Recently TMS Entertainment has announced that Dr. Stone will return with the third season in 2023. The place consists of some artifacts, and Cave Raiders use it for hunting. However, there is a curse linked to the Abyss. So, the deeper someone goes inside it, the more effective the curse will become.

As we know, the first season aired back in 2017. The animation studio Kinema Citrus took several months to renew Made In Abyss Season 2. The renewal announcement was made after the sequel film titled Dawn Of the Deep Soul dropped the surprising news. The sequel film dropped the “To be continued” message in the credits.

In the sequel film, Riko, Nanachi, and Reg joined Bondrewd’s base, Ido Front. There they met a girl named Prushka greeted them and asked if they were her father’s guests. Bondrewd appeared and helped them to enter the 6th layer. Later, Prushka and Riko bond as she takes her on a tour of the place and introduces her to her pet, Meinya. But things turned drastically when Umbra Hands started his experiment on Reg and cut off his arm.

Trailer Hints At New Exploration

Back on November 21, 2021, the animation studio released the first trailer of Made In Abyss Season 2. Riko pays attention to the compass needle, which stands straight. It hints they are closer to their desire and dream city named The Golden City Of The Scorching Sun. She, along with her crew, starts an exploration to find the city. Luckily they get a hint from the compass needle. Further, the promo hints they will find an isolated island from where their new quest will begin.

Made In Abyss: Release Date Is Out!

By the end of the last year, the animation studio dropped the news that Made In Abyss Season 2 will return in 2022. The series will first premiere in Japan in July 2022. It will consist of 10 to 13 episodes. Further, there were words that the show would be a single cour, meaning it would remain on air for three-month.

The Dawn Of The Witch Episode 5 will finally uncover the mystery behind the village and why those villagers don’t come out of their houses. In the previous episode, during the fight with Arbiter, Saybil decided to use Staff of Ludens, and it seems like it has some sort of connection with him. He can use it during the fight with the witches.

But before that, he has to find Hort. However, he will be trapped inside the chamber with Professor Los and a mysterious lady in Episode 5. So first, he needs to find a way out of that place. Meanwhile, Kudo will learn about Hort and would be angry with someone. That will end up in a massive battle. Keep reading to know more.

Kudo met a bear monster who claimed to have killed and eaten Hort. It made Kudo angry, and we can see his anger burning in flames as he started changing his scale’s color. The monster wasn’t surprised by this and appreciated it as he wanted to see how far Kudo could go to fight for his friend. No doubt, Kudo will use his magical powers and cast some spells to kill the monster. This is because he had a strong bond with Hort.

Meanwhile, Professor Los and Saybil are still in the cave searching for Hort. However, they had no idea the father was behind all these. Although it remains unclear what he did to Hort, it looks like she is still alive and trapped somewhere. Apart from this, in the previous episode, the father pushed Saybil and Professor Los into a chamber and locked them up. So we can expect they will find the mysterious witch, who will help Saybil to remember his past and also guide them to find Hort and learn about the Mage and Church army.

Syabil, Kudo, and Hart saved a villager kid from a monster in The Dawn Of The Witch Episode 4. Their headmaster had assigned them to a field project in a village ruled by a mysterious witch. After saving the kid’s life, they met a father who narrated a story about witches and how they used to rule the village. But suddenly they left the place, and nobody knows the exact reason behind this. While he continued to narrate the story, Professor Los appeared out of nowhere. At first, she appeared suspicious of the father but decided to let it go.

Later the father and the kid show them a house where they could stay. After leaving them alone, Professor Los decided to go against the headmaster and kill that witch. Saybil supported this idea as he believed they were on the edge of getting expelled. He also spoke about using Staff of Ludens against the witch. But Kudo appeared afraid of dying and quarreled with Saybil. However, Hort didn’t want Saybil to die, so she left the place without saying anything.

Later Kudo told Saybil that Hort considered him her friend and didn’t want him to die. So, Saybil rushed to apologize to her but was unable to find her. Meanwhile, Hort was crying in the church when a little girl named Lily saw her. While Hort was talking to her, the father appeared and commanded Lily to leave. He later captured Hort. Later on, Hort, Saybil, and Professor Los went on a mission to find Hort. But it came out as a trap.
