Second Life Ranker Chapter 148: What Will Happen Next?

Yeon Woo’s journey leads him to the Citadel – a high-security facility where Ananta is being held captive. However, his heroic mission is challenged when he finds out that Viera Dune is also seeking to keep Ananta with her. The Citadel is heavily guarded. Thus, Yeon Woo must fight his way past Viera Dune’s loyal soldiers to reach Ananta’s cell. As Yeon Woo approaches Ananta, he was finding it hard to recognize her.

Viera Dune arrives and cuts the meeting short. She has made up her mind to prevent Yeon Woo from liberating Ananta. Meanwhile, an intense fight ensues, where the outcomes for each of the characters are uncertain. The fate of Ananta and the success of Yeon Woo’s quest are on the line. Will Yeon Woo succeed in rescuing Ananta from her captivity? Or will Viera Dune’s ambitions prevail, leaving Ananta to face a grim future as a laboratory subject?

A Quick Recap!

In the last chapter of Second Life Ranker Chapter 147, it came as a surprise to Brahm to see Boo taking orders from Yeon Woo. He was unaware that Boo was an Elder Lich who could rival even the most powerful beings. Boo then showed them a picture of the first witches of Viera Dune, who descended directly from the witch mother ‘Night.’ Moreover, Yeon Woo found the base of Walpurgisnacht. There Viera Dune lived in the citadel.

Thus, they entered the ghost town through a portal. They faced a barrier that sprayed fog full of ghosts to scare people. Further, it could even steal their life force. Thus, Brahm cast a blessing to counter the barrier. Yeon Woo created a new quest to attach Viera Dune with the excuse that she had harmed the Summer Queen. Suddenly, a doppelganger of Yeon Woo attacked them. But Yeon Woo called for help and was able to defeat the attacker.

Yeon Woo then pressured the attacker to reveal the exact location of Viera Dune and Ananta. They learned that they were in Pataya’s territory. So, they went to her place and asked where Viera Dune was keeping Ananta. The chapter ended with Yeon Woo heading towards the dungeon of Citadel, where they locked up Ananta.
