This includes source material availability, production costs, and commercial viability. The studio may wait to gauge DVD sales, merchandise popularity, and viewer ratings before committing to another season. If fans want, they can start reading the light novel volume from Volume 4 Chapter 21, to know what happens next in the series. However, it’s likely that the story of Wise Man’s Grandchild Season 2 will start ahead of this chapter.

On the other hand, if fans want to read the manga, they should start reading from Chapter 30. Also, it will be interesting as the anime doesn’t contain a few things that are present in the manga. Both the Kenja no Mago manga and light novel series are ongoing, and there is enough source material for three complete seasons. So, lack of source material isn’t a problem for the series renewal.
