However, some anime series ranked between failed and successful ones. One such show is Z/X Code Reunion, whose first season was rated averagely. It concluded on December 24 of the same year after running for twelve episodes. 

Z/X Code Reunion Season 2: Renewal Status!

As previously mentioned, the inaugural installment of the anime got a mixed response from the viewers. Well, it features some good action sequences that were quite enjoyable. But, the series had a lot of flaws as well. Some of its episodes had fanservice, too, but it was censored, and it never went overboard. However, fans expected the series to be as good as the game, but it didn’t happen. As a result, Z/X ended up getting average ratings on almost all the platforms.

Currently, it has a score of 5.72 on MyAnimeList, which is definitely low. The anime is also nowhere near to the popularity of its game as it only has 11K members in its MAL group. As a result, there is a 50-50 possibility of this show getting a renewal. The only hope that’s left is if the fans try to convince the studio to announce another season. So, if the demand for Z/X Code Reunion Season 2 increases, then the makers might give it another try. 

What’s The Show About?

The plot of this anime begins with a sudden opening of the gates of different worlds. They emerged out of nowhere, and no one was able to explain their origins. It connected the human world to five different dimensions. The beings from these dimensions are known as Z/X, and they declared war against each other. For some obvious reasons, humans also participated in this war. But soon, the dust began to settle. Humans and Z/X signed a treaty to coexist peacefully. However, later when the MC of this show, Azumi Kagamijhara joined a school along with a Z/X, she learned about the real motives of this school.

Z/X Code Reunion Season 2: Release Date

It is likely that fans won’t be able to watch the second season in the next one or two years. The reason is that its production takes a lot of time, and the series is yet to get a renewal. The viewers saw the last episode of its first season on October 1, 2019.    

Light Novel Compared To The Anime!

As we stated above, the anime follows the LN series of the same title. It followed the storyline of its source material closely, but it did rearrange and skip a lot of content. In fact, not only chapters, but this adaptation skipped entire volumes. The story’s pacing was also a bit fast. On average, it used one volume per four episodes. The first six episodes of this anime adopted Volume 1 and 2 of the LN series.

Its second half skipped the third, fourth and fifth books to jump directly into Volume 6. It adopted the entire sixth volume, but only the ending was different. The production studio provided an original anime ending. Currently, Studio Millepensee has all the three skipped books to make Cop Craft Season 2. These three books are enough for them to produce another full-fledged 12-episode anime installment.

Cop Craft Season 2: Renewal Status!

The debut installment of this action fantasy series received a mixed response. Both viewers and critics praised the anime for some of its brilliant action sequences. Its storyline is also pretty simple and linear. But the excessive use of CGI somewhat ruined this show, and fans didn’t like its art style as well. As a result, it ended up getting an average score of 6.72 on MyAnimeList. But the show is quite popular and has more than 97K members in its MAL group.

As previously mentioned, despite the average reviews, the viewers want to see Cop Craft Season 2 because they think it has great potential. Also, the popularity of this anime is enough to convince the makers to renew it for the second season. Therefore, the chances are great that the production studio will soon give the green light to the sequel of this show. 

Cop Craft Season 2: Release Date

It has already been more than eighteen months since fans have been waiting for the anime’s second season. But it seems like they have to wait for the same amount of time again as the series is yet to get a renewal. The title of the forthcoming episode of this series reveals that it will somewhat revolve around Shiki. After the shocking ending of the previous episode, fans can expect to see two Homuras battling each other in the next one. Currently, some speculations suggest that the Homura that betrayed Shiki is the fake one. Edens Zero Episode 15 will reveal which Homura is real and whether she betrayed Shiki or not.

There is also a possibility that Shiki will go berserk in the next episode. It will likely happen due to Jamilov’s actions. If this happens, the viewers can expect him to deliver a proper punishment to Jamilov for Jamilov’s evil doings. However, it will also make Joe and Drakken each other’s enemies.

In the 14th episode of Edens Zero, the viewers saw Rebecca and Happy realized that the bodies of all the previous players have disappeared after Drakken erased them. The latter is not guilty of their doings as he wanted to see the despair on people’s faces. As a result, Shiki didn’t waste any time in launching an attack on Drakken. However, the latter quickly turned his sword into a giant sword to fight back. The name of this shark is Maria.

Drakken ordered Maria to eat Shiki and also told her that is her snack time. Maria began to eat everything in her way. Therefore, Shiki launched a colossal tower towards Drakken to attack him. By the end of this episode, the viewers saw the arrival of the second Homura, who saved Shiki from monsters.

Moreover, the series ran for a total of 50 episodes before concluding on September 30, 2020. As of now, everyone is waiting for the renewal of Ahiru no Sora Season 2.

Manga Compared To The Anime

The first season of the anime made several changes to its source material’s storyline throughout its 50-episode run. Fans liked these changes as they didn’t affect the anime’s storyline. However, the author of the manga series, Hinata, was not satisfied with the anime adaptation at all. He even apologized to the fans of this series several times by posting tweets. Besides, he found several plot holes in the anime and also had a problem with its pacing. On average, the show used three manga chapters in one episode.

By its end, the show adopted a total of 139 chapters and found its stopping point at Volume 18. The author has published a total of 51 volumes so far. Therefore, the production studio has more than enough content to make Ahiru no Sora Season 2. They can actually create three more installments of the series with the remaining source material. 

Ahiru no Sora Season 2: Renewal Details

The first season of this basketball anime was very well received by the audience as well as the critics. They praised this show for its intriguing storyline and some intense basketball action. The ratings of the anime were also good. At the time of writing, it has a score of 7.31 on MyAnimeList. Also, it has more than 148K members in its MAL group, indicating its huge popularity. The makers also have enough source material for its second season.

Now, the only thing getting in the way of Ahiru no Sora Season 2 is the dispute between Takeshi Hinata and Diomedea. Their clash is affecting the anime in a bad way. Since Hinata is not satisfied with the anime adaptation, he certainly wants any other studio to pick it up. But the best thing for the anime’s future is that the author and the studio settle their differences. Only then will they give the green light to its second season.
